Outkast is reissuing its second studio album, ‘ATLiens,’ which was released in 1996, to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
The limited-edition box set will be released next month and will comprise four LPs, including the full album as well as previously recorded instrumental versions of the tracks. For the full audiophile experience, the new edition has been mixed in hi-res 24-bit sound.
It’s available for pre-order now on Outkast’s website, with orders expected to arrive on August 27th.
Two years after the debut album ‘Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik,’ of the rap duo, ‘ATLiens,’ was released and was certified double platinum by the RIAA in the United States. When it was first released, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
Outkast’s famous album ‘Stankonia,’ which was their fourth studio album, released a 20th anniversary edition last year.
Last month, the duo’s Dungeon Family home studio became available for rent on Airbnb.
