Megan Thee Stallion has contributed to a remix of Lil Baby’s solo single “On Me,” which was unveiled last December.
The new version of the song was released on Tuesday, along with a music video directed by Mike Ho featuring the two rap artists. The video begins with Lil Baby performing his verse in front of an icy castle, with Megan lip-syncing alongside him. Megan switches between a tundra environment and a raging volcano throughout her verse, rapping with equal parts ice and fire.
Young Thug’s Slime Language 2 album, which features Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and Gunna, was released earlier this month on his Young Stoner Life label. On the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums list, the album debuted at number one , with over 3,000 sales and 130 million streams.
Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Baby both won at the 63rd Grammy Awards this year. Megan was joined by Cardi B for a stripper-themed performance of their hit song “WAP,” which drew over 1,000 FCC complaints. Lil Baby channelled the past year’s Black Lives Matter rallies in his performance of “The Bigger Picture.” Megan won three Grammys that night, including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her “Savage” remix with Beyoncé, as well as Best New Artist, making her the first female rapper to do so since Lauryn Hill in 1999.
