‘Butterflies,’ Skrillex’s first new single since 2019, has been released.
The song was released on 9th May, and it features additional production from Four Tet as well as vocals from Starrah from the United States.
Skrillex has been hinting that he’ll be releasing a lot of new music for a while now. Last October, he tweeted that he was “still finishing this main body of work.” That month, he also released a new song entitled ‘Kliptown Emyrean.’
‘Butterflies’ is Skrillex and Four Tet’s first collaboration, though they have performed a variety of b2b DJ sets together in recent years, including at Manchester’s Warehouse Project in 2019.
Meanwhile, Four Tet recently remixed Caribou and contributed additional production to Madlib’s new album, which was released earlier this year.
