Pip Millett’s new single “Running,” featuring Ghetts, was released this week.
The Manchester singer’s r‘n’b track ‘Running’ is a sentimental track. Lines like “Black and free, I don’t think that’s a thing, no” are sung softly and despondently. Ghetts’ verse is alternately pitched up and unsettling in places, then he lets himself be more open and intimate in his own voice.
Last year, Millett unveiled her EP ‘Lost In June,’ an eight-track collection that highlights her vocal abilities. Her debut EP, ‘Do Well,’ was only unveiled in the middle of 2019, but she’s already made a name for herself as a promising new voice in UK r’n’b.
