KG has released a new single with Toya Delazy, a South African singer. The song “Nzinga” is from a new EP expected out next month.
The song combines afrobeat, gqom, hard drum, and R&B components, giving homage to both singers’ heritage.
The whole EP by British-Ghanaian KG, ‘Sensei II,’ will be released on June 25th via acclaimed UK imprint Black Acre Records. Aymos, a house and dance vocalist, Taliwhoah, a mesmerising singer, and London-based afrobeat icon Mista Silva, who performs on the latest track “Koko,” are among the guests. The album follows 2018’s ‘Sensei I’ on Goon Club All-Stars and ‘Touch,’ a Hyperdub collaboration with label stalwart Scratchclart, previously Scratcha DVA.
