Murlo, a producer and visual artist, has given the backstory to his new project, ‘Unearth,’ a three-track EP released in the July end.
Murlo created backstory around the tunes that play to the self-designed illustrations to go along with his new endeavour.
The illustration depicts a ‘luddite’ transporting a grasshopper in a tank through the forest, which corresponds to other artwork by the artist seen in recent weeks. Murlo shared a dystopian handcrafted visual, also set in the forest, as the first peek before to the release of his latest EP.
Murlo recently released a funghi identification kit, which contains a cassette that promises to assist the listener on a “quest to becoming a cherished forest colony member,” enhancing the fantasy story even more.
‘Unearth’ arrives nearly exactly a year after his previous album, ‘Primed For Primal.’ When Murlo performs, he usually uses live AV shows accompanied with homemade visuals.
Murlo’s own imprint, Coil Records, has released a percussive, exciting, and experimental EP titled “Unearth.”
