The latest track from John Mayer’s new album Sob Rock, “Wild Blue,” has a really funny music video.
If you’ve watched any of Mayer’s previous music videos, such as “New Light,” you’ll recognize the atmosphere right away: the singer and guitarist plays in the clouds, using a cheap green screen, and having a good time amid some vaguely trippy images.
Last month, Mayer unveiled Sob Rock, kicking off the album with live performances on The Tonight Show of “Last Train Home” and “Shouldn’t Matter But It Does.”
Mayer will tour in support of Sob Rock in 2022, with the arena excursion kicking off on February 17th in Albany, New York. The tour is scheduled to end on April 28th in Chicago. Prior to that, Mayer will embark on a fall tour with Dead & Company, which will begin in August 2021.
