Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J stated at last weekend’s Gathering of the Juggalos that he is struggling with heart difficulties, and as a result, the hip-hop duo will be retiring from traveling — but not from performing live — following a farewell tour upcoming year.
Violent J revealed that he has a more significant form of Atrial Fibrillation (also known as a-fib), which causes the upper and lower chambers of the heart to beat erratically and out of sync with one another. He initially realized anything was amiss last year when he became breathless while doing ordinary things like walking 40 yards from his house to his studio.
Violent J said he has undergone a variety of therapies, including a defibrillator and a procedure in which a scar that had grown on his heart as a result of his irregular heartbeat was burned off. Despite the fact that the second treatment was successful, Violent J claims that the doctors warned him that his difficulties could resurface at any time.
Insane Clown Posse won’t be able to tour like they used to due to Violent J’s illness, he stated. The band plans to conduct another global tour next year, visiting all of the big and minor markets in the United States before traveling to Canada, Europe, and Australia; however, to make things simpler for Violent J, the trip will be spread out, with ICP only doing three or four gigs per week.
ICP will still play large events like the Gathering of the Juggalos, Hallowicked, and Big Ballers Christmas Party after the farewell tour, according to Violent J.
