Slikback has released a new single, ‘SKIN TIGHT,’ a collaboration with Van Boom from the former’s untitled album, which is due out in October.
The track is a dark, abrasive journey through sounds that straddle techno, weightless, industrial, and dubstep.
Slikback, a.k.a. Kenyan experimentalist Fredrick Njau, collaborates with artists from all around the world for his upcoming full-length. In this scenario, Van Boom, a Kuwaiti artist whose work has made ripples throughout the Gulf area and beyond.
Slikback contributed two songs to a PAN split 12″ with Soda Plains last year, and he was featured on the Unsound Intermission compilation in early 2021, among SOPHIE & Jlin, Varg2™ & VTSS, 33EMYBW. Hakuna Kulala, a Ugandan label, released his first vinyl release in 2018.
