Tom Morello has enlisted the help of Phantogram for a new song entitled “Driving to Texas,” which will appear on his forthcoming album, The Atlas Underground Fire, which will be released on October 15th through Mom & Pop.
“Driving to Texas” is a lengthy song that rises from swooning verses replete with ethereal synths, strings, and piano to a thunderous chorus propelled by Morello’s keening guitar.
The Atlas Underground Fire will feature a number of guests, including Phantogram. Morello previously collaborated with Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder on a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” as well as other partners including Chris Stapleton, Damian Marley, Mike Posner, Grandson, and Bring Me the Horizon.
