The next instalment in the critically popular Late Night Tales series has been mixed by Don Letts, aka The Rebel Dread.
The GRAMMY-winning musician, broadcaster, commentator, and DJ’s famously diverse musical taste will be showcased in ‘Version Excursion selected by Don Letts’, which will be released on September 24th. Ghetto Priest, Zoe Devlin, Quantic, The Tamlins, and Khruangbin are among the artists featured on the 21-track playlist.
Letts’ parents were part of the Windrush Generation, a group of people who came to the UK from Caribbean islands after WWII. Their arrival would affect sound system culture, dance music, art, and literature in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland till today, and was named after the Empire Windrush, the ship that first delivered people to Great Britain from Jamaica.
