Ploy is launching “Deaf Test,” his own record label.
The label, which takes its name from a club night he started in London earlier this year, is “a vehicle for my personal output now,” he said in a statement.
The three-track ‘Rayhana’ EP, which will be released on November 19th, will be Deaf Test’s first release.
The album follows releases on labels including Hessle Audio and Timedance, and also the release of 2020’s debut album, ‘Unlit Signals,’ on L.I.E.S.
Ploy will host a second Deaf Test party on December 4th at London venue Venue MOT Unit 18, after the release of ‘Rayhana.’ The lineup will not be revealed ahead of time.
Ploy previously contributed a single to Timedance’s ‘Sharpen, Moving’ compilation, which celebrated the label’s fifth anniversary in 2020.
