Due to COVID-19 exposure, Roddy Ricch will drop out of ‘SNL’, Bleachers to perform

This weekend, January 15, Roddy Ricch was set to perform on the first Saturday Night Live episode of 2022 as the musical guest.

The rapper, however, revealed that he had recently been exposed to COVID-19 and had to withdraw from his performance as a precaution. On Wednesday, Roddy Ricch posted on his Instagram Story (Jan. 12) explaining that he had to withdraw from performing because of exposure to the virus in his team. He continued that he was making arrangements with the SNL team to secure another date for his performance.

Bleachers were announced to be the new musical guest.

Bleachers, led by Grammy-winning producer Jack Antonoff, posted the flyer to Instagram, teasing the title of their recent record, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night.

Roddy Ricch hasn’t stated yet whether he tested positive for COVID-19 or not.
