The Chainsmokers are getting ready for their latest album which is their fourth after a two-year break, and they want people to know they’re sorry.
In a humorous video posted on January 13, Thursday, The Chainsmokers’ label chief employs two actors to replace the duo since they are taking too long to record a new album, a strategy that is thought to succeed “because nobody actually knows what they look like?”

The false Chainsmokers are then replaced with the genuine thing at the end of the video, with the duo’s Drew Taggart and Alex Pall receiving a call from the label informing them that The Chainsmokers have returned.
This video is being released ahead of the duo’s upcoming single “High,” which will be their first new song since 2019. This tune, which is slated to be released soon, will serve as the group’s fourth studio album’s premiere single.
“Memories…Do Not Open” the duo’s 2017 album, is presently on its 248th week on Top Dance/Electronic Albums. Their 2016 “Collage” EP is likewise nearing the end of a 270-week run on this list, where it is presently ranked second. The Chainsmokers’ new album’s release date is still unconfirmed.
