Måneskin announced on Monday (Jan. 24) that their scheduled European tour has been canceled owing to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The band expressed their heartfelt apologies to fans accompanying a video on their Instagram page. They stated that a lot of work had gone into the preparation and all was set, however, they received some terrible news about venue capacity in the last few days which makes it right to cancel the tour.
The rockers claimed that the decision was based on the fact that COVID protocols in each of the nations they’ll be visiting are continually changing, making a large-scale tour difficult amid the ongoing omicron spike.
Despite informing fans of the bad news, the band concluded their message by stating that their future outdoor gigs at Rome’s Circus Maximus, Verona’s Arena di Verona, the resort town of Lignano Sabbiadoro, and other festivals will go on as planned.
