Travis Scott has 70,000 signatures on a petition to perform at Coachella in 2023

Travis Scott fans are uniting behind him, requesting that he participates in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that will come off in 2023.

Scott fan James Connors started a Change.org petition to have the rapper headline the 2023 edition of the festival or to enable Ye (Kanye West) to bring him as a guest.

The description of the petition explained that Scott was wrongfully replaced with Harry Styles and so should be rebooked immediately. The signature had over 70,000 signatures at the time of publication, falling just short of their 75,000-signature target.

Scott was pulled from the Coachella program in December after another Change.org petition urged that he be removed from the festival’s lineup after 10 people died and many others got injured at his Houston Astroworld Festival on November 5th. The petition demanded Goldenvoice, AEG, and Paul Tollett (festival co-founder) to dismiss Scott, stating that he showed gross irresponsibility and a complete lack of concern for human life.

Before Coachella was canceled for the second time due to the pandemic, Scott, Frank Ocean, and Rage Against the Machine were announced as headliners for the 2020 event. According to an interview with Tollett, it was confirmed in August 2021 that Frank Ocean will instead perform at the event in 2023.

Styles and Billie Eilish were revealed in January as the 2022 headliners, joining Ye. Coachella is set to take place in the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, on the 15th – 17th and 22nd – 24th all in April 2022.
