“Dog Rose” is the debut album from experimental producer NFNR. It stands for Neither Famous Nor Rich, aka Olesia Onykiienko.
The CD, which is available on Corridor Audio, comprises six tracks with a variety of meanings.
‘Dog Rose’ is a mix of distorted electronic soundscapes and industrial tones that explores the world’s temperament. Basslines and synthesizers tones are also present.
Prior to the lockdown, Onykiienko, who was born and raised in Ukraine, was set to begin her residence at London’s Battersea Arts Centre.
Despite the interruption, she used the opportunity to explore musically, and she has since established herself as the curator of the experimental portal Women’s Sound in Ukraine, which caters to women and non-binary persons.
