Later this month, the world’s first “EDM musical” will be delivered.
Heart Failure, a “short musical dramedy” and the “first musical for cinemas and nightclubs” written, directed, and composed by Will Wightman, was created and shot in Falmouth, Cornwall during the outbreak.
The musical follows Frank and Lizzie as their relationship progresses from a one-night fling through love and finally heartbreak. The crowdfunding campaign for the 10-minute short film, which was created by Cool Bean, a Cornish indie production firm, reached number one on Kickstarter and reached its goal in just five hours. It will premiere on February 18th at the BFI Future Film Festival, where it is also up for Best Film, Best Director, and Best New Talent.
