This year, Rodarte, the Los Angeles fashion brand founded by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, has enrolled a number of female performers to model its recently launched line of clothing, which would include Charli XCX, Kathleen Hanna, Snail Mail, Mandy Moore, and the Linda Lindas. Natasha Lyonne and Lili Reinhart, both actresses, were also cast in the ready-to-wear collection for autumn 2022.
Rodarte has previously recruited celebrities such as Joanna Newsom, Grimes, Phoebe Bridgers, and Japanese Breakfast to model their original creations for their collections. Over the years, Rodarte has also hired bands such as Beach House and Deerhunter to score numerous short films.
