Sharon Van Etten wrapped up the week on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night (May 20), playing “Mistakes” from her new EP, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong.
We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong was released in early May, a month after the singer-songwriter revealed the album. Van Etten did not release any tracks from her sixth record prior to its release, however, she did release a video for “Mistakes” shortly after. “Porta” and “Used to It,” two more songs Van Etten released in early 2022, were not included in the album.
Van Etten collaborated with Angel Olsen on the tune “Like I Used To” to commemorate the tenth anniversary of her breakthrough album Epic. Van Etten’s first album of new material since 2019’s Remind Me Tomorrow is We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong. Beginning in July, she’ll go on a US tour with Julien Baker and Angel Olsen.
