ZULI and Rama have added a new compilation to their pandemic project irsh.
“did you mean: irish vol. 2” is a continuation of the video project that the two Cairo-based artists began in the early phases of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, in which they aired jam sessions with friends and other local musicians. In September of that year, this led to the production of the first “did you mean: irish” collection.
The second volume has a mixture of returning musicians, new Irish connections developed since the release of the first compilation and growing local talent. El Kontessa, ABADIR, Itfll, and 3Phazare among those returning, with new contributions from Liliane Chlela, Seleem, Postdrone, Dakn, and Yaseen, among others.
