Michelle, a 10-year-old DJ, has submitted her participation in the DMC World Portable DJ Championships. This is her second straight year participating.
The DJ, who joined the championship for the first-time last year at the age of nine, is the youngest competitor in the event’s history and is competing with 41 seniors in the World Portablist Championship category this year.
Michelle has now shared her scratching and portabilist abilities for this year’s tournament on Instagram, having reached the finals, which took place digitally late last month.
Before Michelle, who is from Dubai, joined the DMC competition for the first-time last year, the former youngest competitor was DJ Rena, who was 12 years old when she competed.
The DMC World DJ Championships began in 1985 as a tournament to assess DJs’ scratching and turntablist skills in various categories.
