The musical guest for last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert was Kurt Vile. His latest CD “Mount Airy Hill (Way Gone)” was performed (watch my moves). In addition, he performed “How Lucky” by John Prine as a web-exclusive for the show. Moreover, Vile has revealed additional tour dates in the promotion of the new album.
(watch my moves) is the follow-up to Vile’s 2018 studio album Bottle It In. The new album was recorded at OKV Central, Vile’s home studio. The album was co-produced by him and Rob Schnapf. (watch my moves) contains the Violators, Vile’s backing band, as well as Cate Le Bon, Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, Chastity Belt, and Sarah Jones on percussion.
