Camae Ayewa has revealed that Moor Mother’s latest record Jazz Codes will be released on July 1 via Anti-. “Woody Shaw,” starring Melanie Charlies, is the lead track on the follow-up to last year’s Black Encyclopedia of the Air.
Moor Mother is the executive producer of Jazz Codes, and she collaborated on the record with producer Olof Melander. Akai Solo, Irreversible Entanglements, Fatboi Sharif, Mary Lattimore, and Yungmorpheus are among the contributors of Jazz Codes.
Ayewa has released Open the Gates with Nothing to Declare and Irreversible Entanglements with 700 Bliss following the release of Black Encyclopedia of the Air.
