TRAVIS SCOTT CALL OFF THE CONEY ISLAND SHOW DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS

Travis Scott calls off his coney Island show on Monday, July 4. The reason behind the pause was the safety of the crowd, climbing a truss at the outdoor performance. It was Scott’s first live show since his appearance at Astroworld, where 10 people died due to crowd surges.

Travis is facing several Astroworld-related suits including a man who got paralyzed on his left side after jumping from a balcony at Scott’s Terminal 5 show and a woman who claimed to lose her pregnancy due to injuries she got at the festival.

Scott returned to the stage months after the last year’s tragedy when he performed at a Coachella afterparty, dropping out as one of the festival’s headliners. In May, he performed at Billboard Music Awards where he shared a new single “Mafia.”
