Capitol Records has recently announced that it had signed the AI-powered rapper, FN Meka. The label described the digital rapper as “the world’s first A.R. artist to sign with a major label.” FN Meka’s first single was “Florida Water”, featuring Gunna and gaming streamer Clix. Afterward, the rapper did not get signed by any major label.
Capitol has announced that it has put the tie-up with Meka to an end. The label made the decision after receiving criticism from the Black community for “Gross stereotypes.” The criticism broke out after clips of the project using the N-word went viral.
