Robert Hood’s Monobox alias has revealed a new album and EP. Both will be released on his own M-Plant label, with the ‘Forwardbase Kodai EP’ dropping on October 29th, complete with Ø [Phase] remix, and the full-length ‘Regenerate’ dropping on November 26th.
Despite introducing the moniker to listeners with three M-Plant EPs in 1996, Monobox releases have been rare since then, with the majority of them coming on French label Logistic Records. During that period, artists such as Ricardo Villalobos and Matthew Dear remixed the project.
According to press reports, this current incarnation is based on the concept of a once dormant vessel reawakening. Expect minimal techno with a futurist bent, as with all releases under this moniker.
