On December 1, an Avicii tribute concert will be held in Stockholm.
The Avicii Arena Together For A Better Day performance is a first of its kind, and it aims to raise awareness of young people’s mental health challenges and suicide. The show will be hosted at and produced by Avicii Arena, which has been renamed from Ericsson Globe to honour the Swedish EDM superstar’s legacy. Tickets are currently on sale.
The evening’s soundtrack will include performances by Annika Norlin, Cherrie, Amason, A36, Hkan Hellström, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, among others, and will span hip hop, classical, music, R&B, rock, pop, and electronic.
A special performance by Ella Tiritiello, the 14-year-old who performed a unique interpretation of Avicii’s hit ‘For A Better Day’ at the Avicii Arena inauguration in May, will be added to the line-up. The venue’s objective is to become a flagship platform for talks about young people and mental illness, and the upcoming December event is the first instance of that vision.
