Alina Baraz celebrated her 28th birthday on Friday, September 24. While some individuals would load their faces with cake to commemorate the passing of another year, the singer-songwriter was more generous, providing her fans with a new batch of music in the shape of her latest EP, “Sunbeam.”
The EP by Baraz is a four-song ode to couples in need of a soothing background. Baraz pens courageous anthems where she openly bends to the grips of love by teaming up with producers Lophilie and Spencer Stewart. “Between Us” finds her drifting around a vivid sample and reminiscing about the days she and her sweetheart spent together.
Baraz’s altruism will continue to shine after Sunbeam, as she hopes to release a follow-up EP “very soon.” Meanwhile, she will launch her upcoming tour this week, with the goal of transporting fans to new worlds.
Baraz talked with Billboard about her new EP Sunbeam, what she learned about herself during the pandemic, becoming more assertive as an artist, and more.
