Álvaro Daz and Rauw Alejandro have a long history together; they’ve been working together for a few years, and Diaz contributed to Vice Versa songs like “Aquel Nap ZzZz” and “Sexo Virtual.” NNow, Daz is about to release his latest album Felicilandia, and he’s engaged Rauw for “Problemon,” one of the album’s catchiest songs, which features Rauw’s melodic vocals with Diaz’s dexterity as a rapper.
Throughout the song, the two of them discuss a relationship issue they had with a female who pretended to be single. Rauw kicks things off with a beautiful beginning, singing about not being able to inform anyone about who he’s seeing due to the resulting chaos. Daz then jumps right in with a quick verse that adds to the story. The video begins with Daz calling Rauw, then shows the two of them trading verses in a cabin before Daz runs off with a love interest right before her boyfriend catches her.
Felicilandia is releasing on October 29th, and the concept revolves around Daz’s vision of a beautiful, Disney-like world, inspired by a Puerto Rican amusement park that he used to attend as a kid — except in the album version, it’s a place where sad, mopey youngsters go to mope and dance. Last month, he collaborated with Feid on the downtempo reggaeton track “Llori Pari,” which fits the album’s vibe. Rauw, who recently spoke with Rolling Stone about the popularity of his single “Todo De Ti” and the Grammy anticipation surrounding his latest album, is presently on tour and has just finished a string of sold-out shows at Puerto Rico’s famous El Choli venue.
