Anjimile, a rising singer-songwriter from North Carolina, has released a new one-off single titled “Stranger,” his debut for the new label 4AD.
The song begins with steely fingerpicking, but its sonic palette soon expands, culminating with horns and backing vocals.
Anjimile’s first recent track since his debut LP, “Giver Taker,” was released last fall is “Stranger.” In May, he released “Reunion,” a three-track EP comprising Jay Som, Sasami, and Lomelda remixes of Giver Taker compositions.
