Arca, a multimedia artist born in Venezuela and based in Barcelona, has released her second sequential album, ‘KICK ii’.
The record follows 2020’s Grammy-nominated ‘KICK I,’ which hinted at the promise of a follow-up.
New tracks from XL Recordings’ “KICK II” have been released today, including a new track featuring Sia. XL Recordings will release the album on December 3. “Born Yesterday,” Arca’s amorphous video came out on October 4.
‘Born Yesterday’ evokes a dark side of pop, featuring Sia’s vocals blending with Arca’s throughout a gritty, raw three-minute track.
‘KiCK ii’ will serve as a sequel to the KiCK series, which is an anthology of all the musician’s recent output in one package.
‘KiCK ii’ will include collaborations with Wondagurl, Cubeatz, Sia, Cardopusher, Boys Noize, Mica Levi, and Jenius Level.
She has garnered critical acclaim around the world just a year after releasing her last album, working with Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean, and Kanye in the past.
