With a forthcoming event named “Rift Tour,” Ariana Grande is scheduled to enter the world of the popular video game Fortnite.
The singer teased a cryptic “musical experience” in which gamers will be able to control Grande as a playable character.
While the Rift Tour’s specifics have yet to be announced, Polygon speculates that it will be an in-game concert similar to Travis Scott’s “Astronomical” show in Fortnite in April 2020. J. Balvin and Kaskade have both performed within Fortnite’s virtual arena.
Fortnite will unveil other Grande-inspired things to use during the Rift Tour, in addition to the playable Grande “skin” — a sort of avatar that gamers can use to customise their character’s appearance.
Between August 6th and 8th, the “Rift Tour” event will take place five times live within Fortnite; dates and showtimes can be found on Epic Games’ website.
