“Just Look Up,” a new collaboration between Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi, has been released. The soulful ballad is from the forthcoming Netflix film Don’t Look Up’s soundtrack.
Nicholas Britell produced the song, which Grande, Kid Cudi, Britell, and Taura Stinson co-wrote. The lyrics are based on the narrative of a movie about the end of the world.
Don’t Look Up will be released in theatres on December 10 and on Netflix on December 24. The movie, directed by Adam McKay, follows two low-level astronomers who are forced to go on a massive media tour to warn mankind of an impending comet that will destroy the planet. The cast features Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, as well as Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, and Grande herself.
Grande was recently cast alongside Cynthia Erivo in a film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked. Jon M. Chu will direct the film, which will begin shooting in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2022.
