Avtomat has dropped his first 12″ for 51-53, a queer-focused London label. The Warsaw-based Oramics member – one of the city’s most prominent LGBTQ+ producers – has taken complete creative control of his first album on a UK label, releasing three songs and designing the artwork himself.
51-53 is a queer-focused imprint that emerged in early 2020 with East London duo Super Drama’s single “Excess.” Later in the year, they delivered Blankson, 51-53’s founder and Label Head, ‘Fela’s Groove,’ an EP.
A music video by Polish artist bakblivv is expected to accompany the release. The video, which will be released later this month, is based on motion-capture data from the CTM’s ‘Capturing Queer Movement’ project.
