Gunner Foxx, Brody Dalle’s boyfriend, says Queens of the Stone Age leader Josh Homme threatened his life after a “terrifying” altercation on Christmas Eve at a California mall.
In a court filing, Foxx, who began dating Dalle a year after filing for divorce from Homme in 2019, revealed the alleged incident, prompting a judge to issue him an immediate stay-away order.
On the afternoon of Dec. 24, the boyfriend alleges he was inside an Apple Store at the Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks when Homme approached him from behind and placed his chest on Foxx’s body.
Foxx, 38, claims that Homme was waiting for him outside the second-floor store when he finally left after backing away from the exchange. According to his petition for a temporary restraining order, Homme “lunged” at him, threatening to “throw” him over the balcony, and seized his right arm.
On Tuesday, Homme’s representatives had no immediate response.
The Queens of the Stone Age founder had been in a heated child custody dispute with Dalle for months, and during the Christmas Eve encounter, he allegedly labeled Foxx an “alienator.”
On Nov. 12, Homme, 48, filed a civil harassment restraining order against Foxx, alleging that his ex-wife’s live-in boyfriend was interfering with his relationships and custodial time with his two young sons.
Foxx, he claims, filed “fraudulent, forged documents” seeking restraining orders for the boys against Homme in September and has been “driving a wedge” between him and his children by imposing “restrictive gatekeeping.” On February 2, a hearing on the petition has been scheduled.
Homme had previously filed criminal contempt charges against Dalle, accusing her of violating a court order by “failing” to turn over the couple’s three minor children for his custody.
The ex-couple’s dueling restraining orders against each other will be heard on January 24.
