“Higher Power,” a latest single by Coldplay, has been released. The band first shared the song and video with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently on board the International Space Station.
The band is seen playing as alien holograms dance around them in the video.
Coldplay sat down with Pesquet for a chat before it’s premiere. He showed the band the incredible view from the International Space Station, and they spoke about the similarities and differences between touring and being in space. When flying above Earth, Martin also asks Pesquet how he feels about the planet and its inhabitants. Pesquet considers how boundaries “don’t exist naturally” and stresses the importance of people banding together to defend the planet.
