The Hi, How Are You Project, a mental-health organisation inspired by Daniel Johnston’s life and legacy, has unveiled a new video set to his song “True Love Will Find You in the End.”
Jason Juez Setck directed the video, which has some never-before-seen footage of Johnston. It also features cameos from a variety of musicians, whose renditions of Johnson’s “True Love Will Find You in the End” are seamlessly merged with the original. Beck, Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, Dough Martsch of Built to Spill, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and Matt Schultz of Cage the Elephant are among the contributors.
As part of a final push to get as many people to join and share their online pledge about mental health awareness, the Hi, How Are You Project delivered the new “True Love Will Find You in the End” clip. If the campaign receives 10,000 pledges, it will receive an additional $10,000 in funding, which will be used to provide support to college-aged students who are dealing with mental health difficulties.
