Dinosaur Jr. has released the video for the album’s “Take It Back” ahead of the release of their new album Sweep It Into Space this Friday.
The vibrant visual includes Callum Scott-Dyson who directed the claymation and stop-motion animation video, which was inspired by the painted creature on Sweep It Into Space’s album cover, according to a statement.
Sweep It Into Space’s first single “I Ran Away,” featuring Kurt Vile, who also co-produced the quarantine-made record, is followed by “Take It Back.”
Jagjaguwar’s Sweep It Into Space will be released on April 23rd. Dinosaur Jr. recently announced a massive North American tour for fall 2021/winter 2022, but the band has since added a few more dates to the schedule, including a pair of socially distant May shows and a headlining slot at their Camp Fuzz II festival in Big Indian, New York, from July 27th to 30th.
