DJ FINED £12,000 FOR CLAIMING TO HAVE “SAVED LIVES ON THE DANCEFLOOR”

DJ Jayden Elworthy, 27, was punished for attempting to “saving lives on the dancefloor” by throwing a 500-person illegal rave under lockdown.

Elworthy was charged £12,000 following an event in May, during which he told police officers he “doesn’t give a shit” about COVID or lockdown limits.

The illegal rave took place on marshland in Enfield, North London, on May 30. Police described it as “500 people having a party and hiding in bushes.” According to the organizer, the huge gathering lasted more than 24 hours.

“Nothing wrong apart from the whole Covid thing,” Elworthy told police. The court has sent the DJ a letter demanding that he pay £12,000 in fines and £300 in court fees.

The DJ, who is also a part-time actor and model, took to social media to share a photo of the charge with the caption “Rave fine in full force!” before requesting his Instagram followers for help to pay the massive sum.
