On October 8th, Don Toliver will unleash his second album, “Life of a Don.”
The Houston rapper/singer also revealed a dark teaser for the album, which included a snippet of a new track named “Xscape.” An old man and a young lady dance on a stage in the clip, directed by Nabil Elderkin, and when the curtain behind them rises, Toliver is slumped in an armchair, watching footage of a man rushing into a dark alley.
Don Toliver did not provide any other details on “Life of a Don,” such as a tracklist. The album will include two previously unveiled tracks, “What You Need” and “Drugs N Hella Melodies,” both featuring Kali Uchis, and will follow his 2020 debut, “Heaven or Hell.”
Don Toliver began a North American tour earlier this month, which will end on October 30th in Los Angeles, California. After that, he’ll perform at a few festivals, including Astroworld on November 5th in Houston, Day N Vegas on November 14th in Las Vegas, and Rolling Loud on December 12th in Los Angeles.
Along with the two Life of a Don song mentioned above, Don Toliver has delivered a few collaborations this year, including “Don’t Go” with Skrillex and Justin Bieber, “Fast Lane” with Lil Durk and Latto, and “His and Hers” with Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, and Internet Money.
