Elton John’s upcoming album The Lockdown Sessions, due October 22nd via Interscope, will feature Lil Nas X.
The rapper will be included on the track list “One of Me,” which features Eddie Vedder, Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Nicks, Nicki Minaj, Brandi Carlile, Miley Cyrus, and others. Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” was released earlier this month as the album’s first single.
This is Lil Nas X’s first collaboration with Elton John, however, the rapper was there when John was honored with the iHeart Radio Icon Award last May. When John received the award, he gave a shout-out to Lil Nas X, calling him “a wonderful artist with steel balls.”
Lil Nas X has revealed the cover art for his debut album Montero, which will be released on September 17th. In a scene reminiscent of Lisa Frank, the rapper floats naked above a river encircled by a rainbow.
