Evan Rachel Wood on Defamation Lawsuit of Marilyn Manson

On The View today, Evan Rachel Wood addressed Marilyn Manson’s lawsuit against her for the first time.

Manson (real name Brian Warner) sued Wood earlier this month for defamation, emotional suffering, and “impersonation over the internet.” In February 2021, Wood first accused Manson of abusing her; HBO’s upcoming documentary series Phoenix Rising will follow Wood as she pursues justice for Manson’s alleged assault.

Wood alleged in the film Phoenix Rising, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, that she did not consent to sex on the set of Manson’s video for “Heart-Shaped Glasses.” Tomorrow, the film will premiere on HBO Max (March 15).
