Fat Joe, a New York native, is giving back in the aftermath of Sunday’s tragic fire in the Bronx.
The hip-hop artist announced on Tuesday, January 11 of his teaming up with the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City to begin a relief fundraising for persons affected by the fire, which destroyed the Twin Parks North West building killing 19 people and injuring 32 others. Fat Joe has donated to the cause and has called on his longstanding partners Jay-Z and DJ Khaled to contribute too.
Twin Parks North West is a 120-unit affordable housing project in the Fordham Heights neighborhood.
Fat Joe announced the fundraising in an Instagram post. He went further to explain how important it was for everyone to offer a helping hand in lifting the victims.
The rapper went Live on Instagram at 7 pm EST to encourage people to contribute to the good cause.
