Finneas takes a stroll through an aquarium in the latest video for “Only a Lifetime,” a dedication to his family from his debut album “Optimist.”
Director Sam Bennett shot the film in one take at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. Finneas is alone among the sea life, lighted solely by the light from the tanks. Because “Only a Lifetime” is devoted to his family, his sister Billie Eilish and, most likely, their parents come in the video’s concluding minutes to join their loved one in the aquarium.
Finneas, who is nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, recently spoke with the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast about his solo record, Billie Eilish’s forthcoming tour, and how Eilish is already working on the latest music after the release of her album “Happier Than Ever.”
