Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest has released a new posthumous single titled “French Kiss Deux.”
The song is the latest to be released from the late rapper’s upcoming solo album. After being revealed in late 2020 to commemorate the MC’s 50th birthday, ‘Forever’ will be released this year.The first single from the album, ‘Nutshell Pt.2’, was released in February and featured Busta Rhymes and Redman on verses.
Phife Dawg, also known as Five-Foot Assassin and born Malik Izaak Taylor, died in March 2016 after suffering from diabetes-related health issues for many years. A Tribe Called Quest, which he co-founded with Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed, has long been lauded for their distinct and highly philosophical approach to beats and rhymes.
