Idles have announced the release of their video for their first track, “The Beachland Ballroom,” from their forthcoming album “Crawler.” Crawler, the follow-up to Ultra Mono from last year, will be released on November 12th through Partisan.
Idles recorded the album at Real World Studios in Bath, England, during the pandemic, co-produced by Kenny Beats and Idles guitarist Mark Bowen. The first track from the album is titled after the Cleveland, Ohio venue.
The video opens with a close-up of frontman Joe Talbot’s face as he soulfully sings, “not praying baby/I’m not begging, darling,” before emotively belting “damage” on the chorus.
