The latest installment in Mac DeMarco’s annual Christmas song series is a cover of the holiday classic “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” DeMarco captioned the video as “I Hope your holiday season is full of love and tree.”
Kim Gannon and composer Walter Kent wrote “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” which was first delivered by Bing Crosby in 1943. Popular covers have been recorded by Elvis Presley, Josh Groban, and Kelly Clarkson, among others.
DeMarco and experimental pop musician Jean Dawson worked on a new single named “Menthol*” last week. Here Comes the Cowboy, DeMarco’s most recent album, was released in 2019.
