‘IT GETS BETTER’ IS THE NEW TRACK FROM SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA

Swedish House Mafia has finally unveiled new music after an eight-year hiatus.

The video for ‘It Gets Better,’ which has gloomy club visuals, identical nodding heads, and Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell seated on black thrones formed of electrical wire, is a sombre departure from their regular EDM sound.

Since 2012’s powerful ‘Until Now,’ which included the Grammy-nominated ‘Don’t You Worry Child,’ the Swedish trio hasn’t produced new music. Following reports of internal conflict, they disbanded in 2013 during their fittingly named One Last Tour.

In 2019, they reunited for the Save The World Reunion Tour, which took them to Mexico City, Berlin, Seoul, Ibiza, Zurich, and their hometown of Stockholm.

Swedish House Mafia began teasing on social media that they were working together again, with all three members sharing IG posts and photographs of themselves working in a home studio, sparking speculation about their possible reunion.

Earlier this week, posters with an uncertain three dots and the date “16 / 07 / 21” were seen in Miami, Melbourne, and even Times Square in New York.

Swedish House Mafia will perform as musical guests on Monday’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, alongside 070 Shake and Ty Dolla $ign, according to US network NBC.
