“Taking Me Back,” Jack White’s first new solo single in nearly four years is out now.
White is back in his wheelhouse of percussive, blown-out rock & roll with “Taking Me Back.”
White also delivered a stripped-down version of “Taking Me Back” titled “Taking Me Back (Gently)” to go along with the song. Both versions of the track include visualizers (the original “Taking Me Back” video includes footage from the forthcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard video game).
White’s first solo effort since his last EP, “Boarding House Reach,” was released in 2018, is “Taking Me Back.” The next year, he regrouped with the Raconteurs to record “Help Us Stranger,” their first album in over a decade.
